The Real Estate Industry Award and the Clerks – Private Sector Award have been varied regarding the timing of payments to employees on termination of their employment.
From 1 November 2018, any entitlements due to an employee on termination of their employment need to be paid within seven (7) calendar days of the date of termination. This includes things like pay for time worked, accrued annual leave and, where applicable, long service leave and redundancy pay.
