Minimum Award Rates of Pay to increase by 3.5% on 1 July 2025

Following the Fair Work Commission’s recent decision in the National Wage Case, from the first full pay period commencing on or after Monday 1 July 2025, the minimum award rates of pay will increase by 3.5%.

REEF members can download a pdf version of the new minimum Rates of Pay booklet for the Real Estate Industry Award 2020 and the Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020 from the REEF PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM where you will find them in the REEF Library under the WAGES tab.

Included in the RATES OF PAY booklet are all the new part time rates, casual rates, public holiday rates, traineeship rates and any allowances that might apply to your employees.

If you are paying an employee a rate of pay which exceeds the new minimum award rate, you are permitted to absorb the increase into the above award payment.  However, in order to remain compliant, you must ensure the employee continues to receive a wage equal to or above the minimum wage prescribed by the relevant award for the employee’s classification.
