13 December Federal Rule change endorsed by Executive Committee December 13, 2017 By Reef Admin General, REEF management 0 On 1 December 2017, the Executive Committee unanimously endorsed a Rule change, which has now been lodged with the Fair Work Commission for its approval. The Rule change has been strongly recommended by the Australian Taxation Office and is primarily concerned with protecting REEF's status as a not-for-profit association. BRYAN WILCOX Chief Executive Officer Federal Rule change Delete the current Rule 43(3) of the Federation's Rules and insert in lieu thereof the following: 43. Dissolution (3) In the event of the organisation being dissolved, the amount that remains after such dissolution and the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities shall be transferred to another organisation with similar purposes which is not carried on for profit or gain of its individual members. Federal Rule change endorsed by REEF Committee of Management REEF has applied to the Fair Work Commission for consent to alter its eligibility rules under the Fair Work Act. Application for change to REEF Rules REEF has applied to the Fair Work Commission for consent to alter its Rules under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth). New REEF Management Committee elected The Australian Electoral Commission recently conducted elections for the 2017-18 REEF Committee of Management. Congratulations to those members elected to the Committee. New REEF Management Committee elected REEF’s success is in no small part due to the commitment and guidance of the Committee of Management who give their time on a voluntary basis.
